INNOCENT VICTIMS KILLED BY IMPAIRED DRIVERS IN HENDRICKS COUNTY INDIANA<\/h4>\n

Gerald and Rhonda Legan were both killed when a dump truck driven by Danny Williams crashed into their vehicle. Williams admitted to snorting heroin before the 11-vehicle crash.<\/p>\n

Williams was sentenced to 16 years in the Indiana Department of Correction, 6 years home detention, and 6 years probation. He died during his first 6 months of incarceration. Public Record<\/a><\/p>\n

Several victims suffered injuries with one victim suffering a catastrophic spinal cord injury and is now paralyzed from the waist down.<\/p>\n

\nForever 26<\/h4>\n

Abby\u00a0 was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Bryce King vehicle on December 6, 2021 when another vehicle driven by Noah Wells hit them head on. Wells had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.126%.<\/p>\n

Abby and Bryce were both killed.<\/p>\n

Wells pleaded guilty to two counts of Causing Death When Operating a Motor Vehicle with an ACE of .08 or more. On December 22, 2022 he was sentenced to 18 years in prison.\u00a0Public Record<\/a><\/p>\n

\nForever 23<\/h4>\n

Bryce King and his passenger Abigail Scheibelhut were in Bryce’s vehicle on December 6, 2021 on Cartersburg Road, just north of County Road 200 South when another vehicle driven by Noah Wells hit them head on. Wells had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.126%.<\/p>\n

Bryce and Abby were both killed.<\/p>\n

\nForever 21<\/h4>\n

Brittany Fields was a passenger in a car driven by her husband on Father’s Day 2018 when their vehicle was struck from behind by Kristen McGuinness. McGuinness had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.15%.<\/p>\n

The vehicle that Brittany was in with her husband rolled numerous times and Brittany was ejected.<\/p>\n

Brittany spent 45 days in the hospital before her family made the difficult decision to remove her from life support. Brittany’s death left a one year old child motherless.

\nForever 18<\/h4>\n

Kayley Mathers was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Jordan Platt.<\/p>\n

Platt had been drinking, had marijuana in his system, and he was traveling at 108 miles per hour when he crashed.<\/p>\n

Kayley was killed instantly.<\/p>\n

\nForever 17<\/h4>\n

Elizabeth Tate was on her way home from work when a vehicle driven by Jon Sweazy, going the wrong way on I-74, hit her car head on. Sweazy had marijuana and alcohol in his system when he killed Elizabeth instantly. Sweazy’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was over twice the legal limit.<\/p>\n

Sweazy was also killed in the crash.<\/p>\n

\nForever 18<\/h4>\n

Nathan Gentry was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 17 year-old Chris Hubbard.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hubbard had marijuana in his system, a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.066% and was speeding when his car hit a tree.<\/p>\n

Nathan was killed instantly. Hubbard and three other teens were badly injured. Hubbard was tried and convicted in juvenile court.<\/p>\n

\nForever 41<\/h4>\n

Ron Stroud was on his way home from work at 4:30 in the afternoon. His car was hit broadside by Eric Taylor.<\/p>\n

Taylor’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.21%. Almost three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
\nRon was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Taylor had previous convictions for impaired driving.<\/p>\n

\nForever 54<\/h4>\n

Jill Guthrie was on her way to the store when her car was hit broadside by a vehicle driven by Justin Land.
\nLand had cocaine in his system.<\/p>\n

Jill was killed instantly.<\/p>\n

Land had his 5 year-old daughter in the vehicle with him at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n

\nForever 29<\/h4>\n

Damon Comer was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Michael Bosworth.<\/p>\n

Bosworth was driving 90 miles per hour and had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.09% when he lost control of his car and hit a telephone pole, killing Damon instantly.<\/p>\n

Bosworth was critically injured, but survived.<\/p>\n
